Nathan Key was first to fight for Team USA as he challenged the National champion from Portugal. Nathan won his preliminary fight, but only got a few hours to celebrate as he was back in the ring later that same day against Przemyslaw Ziemnicki from Poland. Ziemnicki is a seasoned veteran and has been on the Polish National team for 7+ years, but Nathan dominated all 3 rounds and took the judges decision.
LaKesha Springle’s division did not fight today, but she is scheduled to fight tomorrow against Germany. Nathan’s division will be off tomorrow and his next fight will be Thursday against Macedonia.
